Dear reader,
Time flies when you’re having fun. This could definitely be our motto here at FontWerks. Can’t believe it’s March already. The last two months have gone by in a blur and we were busy, busy busy! We attended the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) trade show in Las Vegas, where we proudly presented our new paper line, acrylic stamps and new rubberstamps. Most of the team have a CHA-recap in their blogs so if you want to read more about our time, please check out the blog list to the right and check out some fun photos.
BREAKING NEWS!!! Congratulations and the biggest high-fives to our own Laura Kurz, just inducted into the Creating Keepsakes Hall Of Fame 2006!! We are so proud of you, Laura, and had absolutely no doubts about your talents and abilities!!
So what did we debut at CHA, you might ask? Well, paper for one – Simply Neat by Kate Teague. They are gorgeous and shipping as we speak. We also introduced seven new acrylic stamps, including a couple by Elsie Flannigan and Tia Bennett. Tia also has a cute journaling-theme rubber set called “Tell Me A Story.” We also had four other rubber stamps debut, seen here. We have started shipping orders so watch for them at your local scrapbooking/stamping store soon!
Congratulations to team member Erin Lincoln on the successful launch of her new book, Supply Savvy – we are so proud of her! And as a special treat, we have two books, specially autographed, as giveaways to our retailers who placed orders at the show. Randomly picked, the winners are Kim Johnston of Scrap-A-Lot in Edmonton, Alberta and Gena Barney of Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, CA! Congratulations and your books will be included in your shipment! Thank you to Erin for the books as well.
We are pleased to have Sara Winnick join us as March’s Friend of FontWerks. Her style is elegant yet whimsical, and her pages are always so pretty to look at. Thank you for sharing your work with us, Sara.
I'd like to thank the women who participated in our Friends of FontWerks wall, who created amazing 6x6 pieces of art that we showcased in our booth. Thank you ladies, it was a great pleasure to work with you! And with every FOF Wall project, we put all the participants' names into a hat, and the lucky name picked wins the entire CHA-W line - a total of 12 stamps and 12 papers! The lucky winner is Danielle Thompson! Congratulations, Danielle!!!
Lastly, we are honored to have Rebecca Cantu join the FontWerks team – she’s been on our “it” list for quite some time, and meeting her at CHA and following her work just cemented the decision to invite her on board. Happily, she has accepted and we look forward to working with her and having her amazingly creative art in our gallery. Welcome, Becky!
