If you are having trouble reading this newsletter please view our online version.

Dear reader,

It’s been a few months since our last newsletter, and we are glad to be back! The last few months have been explosive in terms of growth for FontWerks, and we have been hard at work making sure we can keep up! We have a lot of plans and exciting events coming up for the new year, and you will see little changes beginning with this newsletter, including more projects and layouts from our design team. We will be striving to provide you with step-by-step instructions and supply lists. In our upcoming newsletters, we will even provide you with links to stores that carry specific products featured in our newsletter. Retailers, please ensure we have your URL on file so we can link up to your stores.

Since our last newsletter, a lot has happened. We attended CHA-Summer in Chicago and were overwhelmed with the response to our acrylic and EZ Mounted lines. For those of you who may not know, we now provide stamps as plain red rubber sets, as well as clear acrylic stamps, EZ Mounted as well as wood-mounted stamps. So for each design, there very well could be up to 4 ways you can have that stamp – giving you lots of options and allowing you to use the mounting method you prefer. Our EZ Mounted sets come already cut, and mounted on EZ Mount, all you have to do is have an acrylic block handy. Ready to play – now THAT is cool.

Pick of the show

Pick of the Show: Fresh Foliage

One of our acrylic stamp sets (Fresh Foliage) was named Creating Keepsakes’ Editors’ Pick from the show – and we are so honored and excited that it was featured in December 2006’s issue of CK (on page 122). If you are looking for this set, here are a few links to stores that have it in stock:

Note: There is now a companion set to this set, called Fresh Foliage II. Please scroll to the bottom for links to stores that have this set in stock.

Scrapping Travels

We attended ScrapFest 2006 in Edmonton, AB in September and were proud to have our products in classes by Ali Edwards and Caroline Lau for Maya Road. I also traveled to California to surprise our team member Maria Grace for her very first teaching gig at one of our retailers’ stores The Scrapbook Oasis in Irvine, CA. MG did fabulously – you can read about the trip. I also had the opportunity to travel to New Brunswick for ScrapGala 2006 hosted by The Scrap Shack in Moncton, NB. The owner and her helpers (Debbie and the Git R Duns) outdid themselves in putting on the most incredible event, and I had a lot of fun teaching my classes, meeting the girls and plain having fun. new releases

New releases

We released a small line of stamps for Memory Trends although we opted not to attend the show. View the complete line. We love this new line and have even negotiated better prices so you will notice that our pricing has gone down. We even have a clear stamp that retails for $3.98 US! We hope to continue to provide you with quality products, awesome designs and inspiration at competitive and affordable prices. Here’s a link to a just a few stores that have our new items in stock right now (and a few stores have sold out already).

Friends of Fontwerks

This month we have Nicole Trudell and Kelly Purkey as our Friends of FontWerks. Nicole is a local BC scrapbooker who has been a strong supporter of FW from the start. Kelly is a talented font-maker and artist whose work is always colorful and energetic. Thank you to both ladies for being part of this month's FOF! We also love to get mail from people letting us know how they use our stamps - we received such an email from Rosy in WA and would like to share her art with you as well. See their work here.

I know Thanksgiving is over but I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us as we grow, and I wanted you to know that I officially quit the day job and went full-time with FontWerks in August. All this could not have happened without you and I really am grateful to all of you and wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

As I end this note, I look outside at the snow coming down. All is calm and peaceful. It’s perfect weather for scrapbooking/cardmaking/crafting. Take a moment to enjoy our newsletter and hopefully be inspired. Look for a mini-newsletter coming in a few weeks just in time to celebrate Christmas!
